Alright, it's been a while. I want to try something this summer. I want to make a new post each day. Hopefully the habit will carry through, and then I'll have a ton of poems that I could form into a book. I feel I am often misunderstood, and I guess writing is how I get out things that I can't talk to people about.

What?

If you never remember, but never forget
You have nothing to live for, but nothing to regret.
If you dwell in the past, but keep moving forward
You will never make progress, but hurt in the process.
If you don't speak your feelings, but speak lies instead
You won't feel loved, but instead feel dead.
If you find yourself reading this, and you think it's wise
You should take into consideration: the rest of your life.

No reason to even live
I am a nothing
Silent, and misunderstood
I am a nothing
Nobody sees me
I am a nothing
Too smart to speak the truth
I am a nothing
Full of lies and deceit
I am a nothing
Damaged beyond belief
I am a nothing
Broken beyond repair
I am a nothing
I am a no one
I am a nowhere
I see myself in you.
I hide behind your eyes
I dance and pull the strings
I fill your life with misery
I am just a human being.

Forget the things I’ve said
Forget the things I’ve done
Remember the memories we had
Remember the way our love.
It swept me off my feet,
Did you ever feel the same?
It brought something wonderful to my life,
Was that true for you, too?
It gave me bright dazzling smiles,
Do you still smile the same as then?
It filled my world with joy,
Were you happy, too?
It shred me to bits and pieces,
Were you destroyed like me?
It shattered my heart to a million slivers,
Does your heart still work the same?
It killed me inside and out,
Are you still alive now?

Some people spend an eternity
Waiting, Watching, Wishing.
Through their glum morbidity,
Swallowed vain in sorrow...
They let their sunshine fade
They don't look for a new tomorrow.
Bathed themselves in darkness,
Cloaked themselves in fear,
They've hidden their wants and desires,
Driven away things that they once held dear.
The passion driven truth
Never to be revealed
For in their hearts their secrets hold
The truth that is unspoken
The truth that is untold
Three simple words can shatter it
I love you.
Gripping to the fragments,
No longer looking back
You're left to wonder
Left incomplete
You were the other peice
And together we were complete.

I Believe One Thing To Be True

My own mistake will be my demise,
And I shall crumble in despair.
In the end I'm left feeling dead,
But that's just because you aren't there.
I realize now what I needed
Clearly I see now what I've lost
A best friend, an angel,
A lover, a match.
Love really must be blind,
For I hadn't a clue I'd fallen for you,
Little friend, don't be so sad
Clear those thoughts, I'm not mad.
What am I writing? I do not know. A poem? A story? Soliloquy?

If You Love Something...

People say, "If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it was meant to be". Don't. Don't set it free. Hang on to it, and don't let it go, don't be stupid.
